Molson was founded in 1786 on the banks of the St. Lawrence. For over 200 years, Molson has been brewing beer of the highest possible standard; delivering award-winning products based on a tradition of quality and a keen focus on customer service. Molson has grown from humble beginnings to employ over 3000 people and operate 6 breweries across the country which service the many thousands of outlets where our beer is sold.
To ensure we meet product demand throughout our distribution channel, we began to investigate alternatives to gain greater visibility into our supply chain and servicing levels. We have many systems at the base of our operations, collecting the data required to manage our manufacturing and distribution activities. However, as critical as those systems are, they were not providing us with the speed and level of insight we required for monitoring our Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to ensure our high standard of service levels were being met.
To augment our systems with the type of analysis and reporting functionality required, we retained GHI Technologies to develop a Microsoft based Business Scorecard and Intelligence (BI) Solution. Our focus was Customer Service Demand Fill; we wanted greater visibility of our product on the shelves, inventory position, SKU status and potential threats to our service levels. GHI Technologies delivered a solution that not only provided us a better way to visualize and comprehend our Supply Chain, Inventory and Customer Service trends, but they were also able to reduce the costs associated to our Customer Service and re-deployment initiatives by minimizing waste. Our key decision makers now have ad hoc access to various areas of the business, providing them with an in depth understanding; something that was previously unavailable.
Since working with GHI, we can make proactive decisions and adjust our strategies faster and more frequently. We were very pleased when GHI Technologies delivered the Business Scorecard on budget and on time taking only 10 weeks to positively impact our business.
